Christmas Activities at the Lake of the Ozarks

Christmas lights keep popping up all over the Lake of the Ozarks, and the growing excitement in the air lead us to conclude only one thing... It's almost Christmas!

Paradise Tropical Restaurant would like to take this opportunity to wish a warm and merry Christmas to you and all of your friends and family! To get you in the Christmas mood, all of us at the Lake of the Ozarks' best waterfront bar took it upon ourselves to compile a list of all the wonderful Christmas activities coming up. Grab your kiddos and head out for day of holiday family fun!

Main Street Music Hall Christmas Show

The Main Street Music Hall's annual Christmas show is a favorite Christmas pastime at the Lake of the Ozarks. Shows will run every Tuesday-Sunday (matinees on Sunday) through the rest of December. For tickets and more information, call (573) 348-9500.

Deck the Docks Holiday Light Cruises

What's better than admiring beautiful Christmas lights? Admiring them from your very own waterfront view! There are still cruise times left for the month of December. Cruises board at 5:30 on December 13th, 19th, 26th, and 27th. The cost is $20 per person, and all the proceeds will benefit the Dogwood Animal Shelter in Osage Beach, MO. For reservations, call (573) 480-3212.

Carriage Rides at the Lodge of Four Seasons

Carriage rides are the perfect option for a romantic date or for a fun activity for the whole family. Carriage rides are available on December 12th and 13th from 9:00 AM -1:00 PM and again from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM.

Lake Ozark Christmas Parade

Bring your kids and find a spot along historic Bagnell Dam Strip on Saturday, December 13th. The 30th Annual Lake Ozark "Christmas Magic" Parade is something you won't want to miss! The parade will begin at 1:00 PM and will travel from the HH/Bagnell Dam Blvd intersection all the way to the dam. Santa will be available immediately after the parade to visit with the kiddos!

Christmas For Kids

Sponsored by the Christmas for Kids committee, the Kiwanis Club of Lake Ozarks, and various Lake Area Businesses. The proceeds from this great event will benefit local charities who sponsor underprivileged children in the Lake Area, including Hope House, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Kid's Harbor, Wonderland Camp, and Share the Harvest Food Pantry. The festivities begin at 7:00 on Sunday, December 14th. Admission is $15 plus one new/unopened toy, or $35 without a toy.

Fall Harbor Hop / End of Season Blowout!

Well folks, it's time to accept the unavoidable truth: summer is coming to an end, and Paradise Tropical Restaurant is going to have to close for the season. We don't want it to be over, but the falling temperatures and changing leaves make it impossible to ignore.

BUT!

The best restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is not going out without a bang! October 12th will be our last full day of the 2014 season, but first... October 11th is the day of the 2014 Annual Fall Harbor Hop!

Harbor Hop is one of the most highly-anticipated events at the Lake, and it's easy to see why. Enjoy a unique game of poker at your own pace - all you have to do is pick up a card at different participating locations to complete your seven-card hand, and submit your completed hand by 7:00 PM.

Several lucky winners will get to take home some great prize money this week! Opportunities to win are as follows:

4 Worst Hands -- 2% each
5th-10th Place -- 5% each
4th Place -- 7%
3rd Place -- 8%
