Shootout Poker Run!

We had a blast at the Lil Boat & Pontoon Poker Run last weekend - thanks to all who came out and partied with us! - but the fun is far from over. This week, The Shootout festivities continue with the Shootout Poker Run, sponsored by Poly Lift Boat Lifts! Once again, Paradise Tropical Restaurant & Bar is super stoked to be one of the stops. You'd better come see us while you're out and about!

The Shootout Poker Run

Come on out for an incredible day on the water, complete with ice-cold drinks and the best food at the Lake of the Ozarks! You and your crew will have a blast visiting the best restaurants at the Lake of the Ozarks and collecting poker cards for a chance to win some outstanding prizes. Here is a quick look at some of the details:

• Preregistration is open online and on Thursday, August 27th (complete with food, drink, and a silent auction) at the Performance Boat Center from 4:00-9:00 PM.
• Poker Run will be held on Friday, August 28th.
• Breakfast and start location is at Backwater Jack's from 8:00-10:00 AM
• Ending location will be at Captain Ron's from 6:00-10:00 PM.
• Entry fee is $200.

• Your boat
• 2 people (the captain and first mate)
• 1 poker hand (one card drawn at each of the eight stops)

• Entrance into the reception at Performance Boat Center on the 27th

You can purchase additional poker hands when you preregister at Performance Boat Center or while at the breakfast and ending locations. You can also register additional boaters on the Shootout website.

Not only are you guaranteed to have an outstanding time - you and your crew can enjoy the chance to win some great prize money at the same time! Payouts will be given to the following cardholders:

• Worst Hand (must have at least five cards)

Shootout Lil Boat & Pontoon Poker Run

Who says all the fun of poker runs and The Shootout have to be reserved for the people with the biggest boats? This year, there is a special poker run designed especially for boats and pontoons measuring 32 feet and under - and Paradise Tropical Restaurant & Bar is excited to be one of the stops!

Lil Boat & Pontoon Poker Run - An Overview

This innovative event is redefining everything you thought you knew about poker runs! Called the Lake of the Ozarks' first ever "dual" starting point poker run, participants will have the chance to sign in on both sides of the Lake and finish at a point in the middle! 

This should be a great event for poker and boating enthusiasts from all over the Lake Area. All of us at the Lake of the Ozarks' best waterfront restaurant are super excited to celebrate this great event with you all!

• Friday, August 21st, 2015.
•  7:30 am ~ Participants can sign in at Captain Ron's (34 MM) or Momma's (4 MM)
• 8:30 am ~ Breakfast will be available at both locations
• 11:00 am ~ The poker run will officially begin

If you've been having trouble getting into the swing of productivity today, we've found the reason why... Today (Monday, August 10th) is National Lazy Day! It's the perfect day to kick back, relax, lounge by the pool, go floating on the Lake, or do anything else that your little hearts desire. Nothing helps wile away the hours like watching hilarious animals trip, fall, or get attacked by a nap - and it looks like everybody knows it. Broiled Shish-Ka-Bobs
Craving filet mignon, but wanting to try something a little different at the same time? These tasty chunks of filet mignon are skewered along with onions and green peppers and marinated in special seasonings to enhance the hearty flavors before broiling. YUM!

New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp
One taste and you'll be instantly transported to the heart of The Big Easy! In this dish, garlic and our own special blend of spices come together to create spicy hot Louisiana-style shrimp. Prepare to have your minds blown!
